The Earthly Sanctuary
The sanctuary given to Israel included the courtyard, Holy Place, and Most Holy Place. Its sacrifices, priesthood, furniture, and yearly services taught important lessons about sin, atonement, mediation, and restoration.
Christ Our High Priest
Hebrews presents Jesus as our great High Priest in the heavenly sanctuary. His sacrifice was complete at Calvary, and His priestly ministry applies the benefits of His sacrifice to those who come to God through Him.
